Research - braiding

Over 160 people work in AMPEL, from many diverse disciplines including Chemistry, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Materials Engineering, Physics and Astronomy, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Dentistry and Biomedical Science.

In addition to striving for a leadership position in research, the center provides talented graduate students, post doctoral fellows and research associates a broad range of expertise and modern research equipment. Our research group leaders not only enjoy leadership in their particular field of research but also excellent mentors by graduate students and post doctoral fellows from outside of AMPEL with an active international visiting scholar program. We also strive for an active interaction with industry and strongly encourage entrepreneurship.

AMPEL consists of 21 highly diversified, interdisciplinary groups, which overlap heavily in the six main research areas that AMPEL focuses on.
