In 2013, UBC Materials Engineering and the Centre for Metallurgical Process Engineering (CMPE) hosted the first ever International Workshop on Laser Ultrasonics for Metallurgy. This event attracted several researchers and industrial partners around the world to learn more about this technology and its possible application.
