Please submit your poster abstract with your online registration by Nov. 30, 2016. Authors of selected abstracts will be notified, and are expected to present the work in a poster format.
Each poster will be assigned a space and will be labeled with the number of the paper and the presenting author’s name. The maximum poster dimensions are: 3.5 ft (106.68 cm) x 3.5 ft (106.68 cm). Non-marking double sided tape will be made available to hang your poster.
Judges & Competition Rules:
The panel of judges for the best poster award is composed of two faculty members from each participating university. Posters will be evaluated according to the novelty, clarity, technical difficulty, significance, and the presentation. Each judge will be assigned up to 10 posters to review and pick 3 out of these posters. The poster viewing time is noon to 2pm. At 3:30pm, all the 6 judges will meet and choose the 3 best poster awards (one 1st, one 2nd and one 3rd prize) from their shortlists, and the award announcement is at 4pm.
The judges evaluate the quality of the posters using mainly the following criteria: novelty, clarity, technical difficulty, significance and presentation.
Three awards will be presented to the three best posters presented by students or postdocs at PCAMM 2016 conference (1st, 2nd, and 3rd place). Awardees are selected on site (posters not attended at their scheduled time will not be considered) and award recipients will be announced at the end of the conference.
